- Working Class Movement Library
- The charity’s vast library tells the story, from many points of view, of Britain’s working classes from the beginning of industrialisation to the present day. They have greatly assisted our research into Henry Salt and James Leigh Joynes.

- Independent author, scholar and advisor on animal rights.
- The Vegetarian Society
- Their Manchester headquarters hold many books and journals on the early vegetarian movement in the UK. As with the WCML, we’ve spent many an hour going through their archive. It’s possible that the wealth of material was intended originally for the Ernest Bell Library.
